POOL COMPLEX PICNIC PAVILION NOW OPEN

On Wednesday, July 21st, the KCHOA Boards of Directors held a dedication dinner for the new Picnic Patio that is now open. Homeowners and Mambers may reserve the Picnic Patio for parties, family get togethers, etc.

The Picnic Patio includes picnic tables and a outdoor kitchen with a charcoal grill and sink. A brick serving counter seperates the outdoor kitchen from the picnic area.

Please read the new Party and Picnic Patio Rules at Pool.

The Board of Directors will review the use of this new Picnic Patio and if it is highly used then the Board will consider the building of a covered roof over the Picnic Patio.

Killearn Commons Annual Block Party

The Annual Killearn Commons Block Party will be held on Labor Day, September 6th, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM.

We will be having a cook out including hamburgers and hotdogs, and ask that all attending to please bring a side dish.

This is a great time for all nieghbors in Killearn Commons to get together and meet neighbors you may not know about.

For the very young children there will be some kind of bouncy bounce, and for the older children a water slide. Of course swimming will be available for all.

ANNOUNCEMENT - DIXON EXTERMINATING

Killearn Commons Homeowners Association and Dixon Exterminating have enter into a Service Contract in which Dixon will provide termite service and protection for the Pool House. Dixon will also be providing Killeran Commons Homeowners with special discounts and incentives for their services. Look forward to this information to be posted on the Web site soon.

Pool Vandalism & Trespassing

The Killearn Commons Homeowners Association will not tolerate any Pool Vandalism & Trespassing. We will press charges. Please help us by notifiying us of any such activity. If any Member is caught vandilising we will not only press charges but the member will lose their pool privileges. This kind of activity affects everyone including the HOA fees.

Earth Day in Killearn Commons

In celebration of Earth Day, a few Killearn Commons kids, Anja H., Daniella H. and mom Heather, as well as neighbor Connor, spent some time on a neighborhood walk and clean-up. They were happy to find that there wasn't a lot of clean-up needed, but were happy to do their part with what needed picking up. Let's keep Killearn Commons beautiful!

A good number of homes have mold and mildew on their siding. If you are one if these homes you need to get it cleaned off. The Killearn Commons Homeowners Association Convenants and Restrictions state...

ARTICLE III PROPERTY RIGHT AND OBLIGATIONS

4. Exterior Maintenance of Homes. Homes constructed on Lots within the Properties shall be maintained by the Owner not only in a good state of repair, but also in an aesthetically pleasing manner consistent with the character and setting of the homes and Property as originally developed. Specifically, the following items are hereby determined and declared to be items which must be kept in a proper state of maintenance and repair by the individual Lot Owner, provided, however, this list is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of such items: the roof, windows, painting or staining of exterior walls and trim, steps, porches, walkways, driveways and landscaping.

We would appreicate you cleaning your siding because the exterior of the home affects everyone including home values. We will in the near future begin the process of sending homeowners violation of Convenants and Restriction notices.

Kelly Bagwell is this year’s Elections Chairperson and Roger will assist her in the counting of the ballots.

Chris Andrews, who many of you met at the Pool Clean-Up Day, has agreed to be the Landscape Chairperson.

Still have a need for an Events Chairperson and a Membership Chairperson.

The Annual General Membership Meeting and Elections will be held in October and we’re interested in talking with potential candidates who would be willing to serve on the Board of Directors. This year there will be only one opening out of the five members Board. If you’re interested please contact Bill Duncan

A note of appreciation and a great example…Kenny Greene, V., age 7 was spotted picking up litter. Great job Kenny and we appreciate you helping keep Killearn Commons clean.

When mowing your yard please clean-up any grass clipping from the sidewalk and street.

Annual Best Yard Contest is coming up in June. A $100 Publix Gift Certificate will awarded for the best yard so get your yard ready.
