About KLHOA Board of Director Meetings
The Board of Directors (BOD) of the Killearn Commons Homeowner Association (KCHOA) is committed to holding the highest standards in all its meetings. The KCHOA BOD meetings are typically held quarterly on the third (3rd) Monday of the month except as so notified at 7:00PM at the Deer Lake United Methodist Church. All meetings notices will be posted on this Web site, in the newsletter and posted on signs in Killearn Commons. We will make every attempt to have an agenda posted on this Web site prior to the meetings. The BOD meetings follow the parliamentary procedure as define by Roberts Rules of Order. All discussions during a BOD meeting will be only for those items on the agenda. KCHOA does have an Annual Membership meeting in October of each year in conjunction with the Annual Election.
As per the State of Florida Statutes all BOD meetings are open to all homeowners/members and the general public, and we do encourage participation. However, homeowners/members cannot participate in any agenda discussions unless the BOD member chairing the meeting so recognizes that homeowner/member. If any homeowner / member wish to address the BOD during the meeting they can do so by soliciting the BOD member chairing the meeting prior to the start of the meeting, or by soliciting the President prior to the meeting so that the item is placed on the agenda. The President or BOD member chairing the meeting reserves the right to either grant or not grant said request.
